A petition has requested that the Scripps National Spelling Bee add a high school spelling bee. This petition is certainly flattering!
It’s great to see so many people who stand up to believe in the value our purpose: to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives.
With the limited resources we have, it's our intention to focus our program on elementary and middle school ages at this time. If at some point we decide to make a change we will certainly let you know.
