Sriram and Ansun Visit the White House

Since winning the 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee, co-champions Sriram Hathwar and Ansun Sujoe have been on quite a ride. First, there was a visit to Live with Kelly and Michael and no one will forget the hilarious skit on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. This week, the two were enjoying their fame again as they visited the White House to meet President Barack Obama.

The meeting came about after President Obama tweeted his congratulations to the co-champs in late May. After coordinating some schedules, the meeting finally took place on Monday, September 15th in the Oval Office.

Sriram and Ansun each had a chance to shake the President's hand, then they challenged him to spell the words they missed on stage (corpsbruder and antigropelos, respectively). Although he gave a valiant effort, the President was unable to spell the words correctly either.
