Sreeniketh Vogoti, speller 167, was excited to be in the Finals of his second Scripps National Spelling Bee.
“I’m trying not to have a lot of pressure,” he said. “For the most part, it’s easy.
Sreeniketh said he was “reasonably confident” moving forward.
“I’m excited because I get to be on stage with words,” he said.
Sreeniketh tied for seventh place last year.
He spelled coromandel , a moderate reddish brown.
