Julianna is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, and is fascinated by other languages. She has been taking French classes twice a week since she was in sixth grade. In her free time, Julianna enjoys fishing with her family, spending time with her friends and going to the movies. She likes listening to music, especially while she is doing homework because it helps her concentrate and complete her assignments quickly. Last summer Julianna volunteered at a summer camp called Espibi for children with disabilities and she is currently volunteering as a science fair guide with sixth grade students. Julianna participated in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Scripps National Spelling Bees, tying for 9th place in 2010.
