There's so much more to the Scripps National Spelling Bee than the nationally televised competition. Bee Week is a week-long experience for spellers and their families that includes special events, educational workshops, excursions into Washington, D.C., and more.

Bee Week 2024 will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center from May 26-31. The National Competition will begin with the Preliminaries on Tuesday, May 28, and conclude with the Finals on Thursday, May 30.
2023 champion
Dev Shah of Largo, Florida, represented the SNSB Region One Bee in the 2023 Scripps National Spelling Bee. After 15 rounds of spelling, Dev became the 2023 Champion by correctly spelling the word "psammophile."
bee keeper magazine
Each year, the Bee publishes the Bee Keeper magazine with feature stories on spellers, "where are they now?" articles about Bee alumni and information about the competition.
The 2023 issue includes feature stories on 6-time national competitor Akash Vukoti and the Navajo Nation spelling bee program plus a Q&A with author Jason Reynolds.
