The first of three South Korean spellers -- Kyung Dong Kim, Speller 349 and in eighth grade -- is out after misspelling "sillographer," a writer of satires.
In addition to South Korea, other international spellers are from Ghana, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Canada, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom. In the U.S., spellers hail from all 50 states, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Department of Defense Schools in Europe, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
