It's all Greek

What did speller 198, Will McCollom, say to Dr. Bailly in greeting?

"Kali Mera. Ti kanete?"

It was modern-day Greek, Will, an Oklahoma second grader, told the pronouncer.

"I only know ancient Greek," Dr. Bailly said, before recognizing part of the phrasing. "Oh, of course!" he said.

Will giggled at his sentence, "Evangeline predicted that Sergio would fianchetto his bishop, but she did not predict that he would scream, "In your face, Horsey McHorseface!" at her knight as he did so."

He spelled his word correctly.

"Wow, this is so cool!" he said. D4N_9071
