Shreyas Parab (Speller 207) didn't make the Semifinals. But he did make The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on CNN.
"He complimented me," the Pennsylvania seventh grader said. "He said, 'He has a bright future.'"
Shreyas doesn't think he's the only one.
"All of us have bright futures outside of spelling," he said.
Back home, people watched him on TV. He hopes they'll see him, and his fellow spellers, again next year. Shreyas said he already feels famous.
"Even though I didn't make the Semifinals, I still feel happy," he said. "I have everything in front of me."
