"Thank God," said Hailey Hogenson, speller 275. She misspelled "aberration," but the Michigan eighth grader didn't have to suffer the fate of her sentence.
"For those watching their first spelling bee, the sight of spellers falling through a trap door if they misspell a word is an aberration," Dr. Bailly read.
