A Spellebrity Sighting at Dodger Stadium

We often refer to our spellers as "spellebrities" because they become local celebrities in their communities. We have countless stories of regional Bee winners leading parades, meeting politicians or being invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a baseball game.

A recent example comes from Speller 13 Timothy Lau, who was invited down on the field at Dodger Stadium to meet Los Angeles first baseman Adrian Gonzalez. Timothy came prepared, bringing his Bee Keeper to get the star slugger's autograph. The photos below, courtesy of Timothy's father, capture the excitement of our spellebrity (who also wore his Spelled It shirt under the Dodgers jersey).
