Vikram Raju, speller 76, is feeling “really good” tonight.
“This is the Finals, and this is the stage I’ve been trying to get to,” the Colorado seventh grader said. “I’m really excited for how high the stakes are.”
Vikram likes to play piano and basketball, and he’s hoping the Boston Celtics – who beat his home-team Denver Nuggets to make the NBA Finals – succeed, as he hopes to, too.
Vikram is in his third Bee appearance, and said he’s thrilled to be back in person. If he wins, he said, he plans to sleep for two days “to get over the ooh and ahh and razzmatazz.”
“It’s amazing,” he said. “The in-person Bee is so much livelier than sitting in your living room.”
