Abhijay Kodali, Speller 484 and a Texas fifth grader, is out.
He went pretty far for someone who didn't expect to be there at all.
“I didn't expect to be” in the finals, Abhijay said. “It's my first time; I didn't know that I would make it this far.”
Abhijay said he was really nervous, but it felt really good to be doing this well.
He likes The Flash and other superhero shows. And Abhijay said he likes to watch the Cleveland Cavs and the Dallas Cowboys.
Abhijay said he tries to keep calm when he gets a word he doesn't know.
“I just breathe,” he said. “(The Bee) teaches me stuff, hard work and all that.”
