Bruhat Soma, the 2024 Champion

On May 30, 2024, Bruhat Soma set a new record for the Spell-off to become the 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion. A 12-year-old speller representing the Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund in St. Petersburg, Florida, Bruhat spelled an impressive 29 words in 90 seconds, which set him on a path to a year of championship experiences!
