Sameera Hussain, speller 22, is wearing a T-shirt that says,"I'm like 120 % tired."
"I take it you got a good night's sleep?" Dr. Bailly said as the California seventh grader approached the mic.
"Not really," she replied.
Sameera spelled "Conestoga" correctly, but almost slipped on the last letter. She had to wait a minute before the judges gave her the go-ahead.
"Oh, thanks God," she said when Head Judge Mary Brooks told her she'd spelled it right.
