Peyton Hand, Speller 172, stuck his tongue out at himself after he added an extra "S" to the end of "procrustean," marked by complete disregard of individual differences and by violent forcing into conformity with or subservience to something.
He pronounced the word correctly, and seemed surprised that he had snuck it in at the end.
Peyton, a Florida eighth grader, is out.
