We recommend that you use only the School Competition List from the current year for your school bee, as it includes words from the current year's School Spelling Bee Study List. For example, during the 2026-2027 school year we recommend school bee officials use the 2027 School Competition List to conduct a school spelling bee. 

The 2027 School Competition List will be available to all schools that enroll in the Bee for the 2026-2027 year. School enrollment for the 2026-2027 year begins August 18, 2026, at spellingbee.com.
