Both five-timers have been eliminated from the Bee in this, their final year of eligibility.

Emily Keaton (Speller 93), a Kentucky eighth grader, misspelled "olecranon." Rachael Cundey (Speller 48), a Georgia eighth grader, misspelled "calotte."

Also eliminated was Ashwin Veeramani (Speller 191), an Ohio seventh grader who misspelled "amimia" and whose sister Anamika won the Bee in 2010.
