99 Bee-8 spellers, 3 finalists

I was one of the eight spellers at my school, PS99's, spelling bee. The first few rounds were easy, and nobody was knocked out. Then the competition started for the top 3 spots when someone was knocked out on "teacher". During the next few rounds the other 4 struck out, and I was returning over and over again. Then the race for school champion was on! I came in second with "mahogany", and someone else took the ranking of "school champion" with "avalanche". I was so happy, I was advancing to the 2018 Queens Borough-wide spelling bee.

The Story to One Day Become the Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion

Although I have never actually competed in a Spelling Bee, I would one day like that chance to compete at my school's Spelling Bee, and hope to advance to my state's Regional Spelling Bee Championships, and see what happens then. I have dreamed since 2015 to compete at a Spelling Bee, but I have been really scared. Although I can solve Rubik's Cubes and do a sport called Sport Stacking, whenever I go up to the table to compete, I don't feel all that nervous, and I think maybe that's because it's not as difficult as something like stacking in front of 50 people.
