Scripps continues to evaluate plans for international spelling bee

CINCINNATI  – January 30, 2013 - Last May, The E.W. Scripps Company announced it was exploring the possibility of adding an international spelling bee as a complement to its iconic Scripps National Spelling Bee.

While Bee officials have been impressed by interest in the concept and in English-language education around the globe, there are no immediate plans to initiate an international spelling bee event.
