Always boo

Benjamin Zobian, speller 359, was unfailingly polite as he misspelled "mores."

The word means the fixed customs or folkways of a particular group which are deemed morally binding upon all members of the group and necessary to its welfare and preservation.

Benjamin, a Pennsylvania eighth grader in his second Bee, heard the following sentence: "One of the age-old mores among Philadelphia Eagles fans is to boo whenever an opponent does literally anything."

The crowd laughed. Because it's true.
