Karthik Nemmani, Speller 471 and a Texas eighth grader, said he's happy to have made it this far in the competition.
“I'm just doing my best,” he said.
His best is pretty good. Karthik just spelled "cervicorn" correctly. It means bearing antlers.
When he's not spelling, Karthik likes to play tennis and watch football.
