Ten spellers are celebrating their birthdays this year during Bee Week. They all got cupcakes in their room, and a bee-friendly version of a happy birthday song.
"H-A-P-P-Y," Bee officials sang.
"B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y," they followed.
(Correct, both times.)
T-O was a homonym, but it was sung-spelled correctly.
And then, for the finale... "E-W-E!"
Ding, went the bell. Another homonym. Incorrect!
