We brought a speller back

Reagan Remmers, Speller 230, is back in the competition. She spelled “Balaklava,” a city name. The word said was given was “balaclava,” which is a garment that covers the head and neck except for some parts of the face.
The two words are pronounced the same, and since Reagan didn't ask for a definition, the Montana seventh grader was reinstated into the competition.
Reagan returned to stage to applause after Bee officials announced that she had spelled the homonym correctly.
