Louise Julia Grimaldo, speller 159, asked a question that she didn't *really* want the answer to.
"Can I have the spelling?" the Idaho eighth grader asked when she heard her word, "iconoclastic." It means of or relating to one who attacks established beliefs, ideals, customs, or institutions.
"You don't want me to give it to you," Dr. Bailly replied. "There's only one way that happens."
Luckily, Louise Julia -- here for the third time -- didn't need the help.
She spelled the word correctly, then breathed a sigh of relief and shot her hand into the air.
