That's the end of this round -- but we'll be back spelling again shortly with the start of Round 3. The first group of spellers will start the round today, while later rounds will pick up in Round 3 tomorrow.
At the end of the round, 519 spellers had spelled their words correctly and 46 misspelled and were out.
Earlier, Darius Haft, speller 556, asked Dr. Bailly how he was doing on the way to spelling "pittance" correctly.
"Doing pretty well, I think," Dr. Bailly said. "Y'all are getting most of the words right."
The spellers are doing a great job.
